Three people reported to have died and 26 rescued so far after incident during approach to Bukoba airport
A plane carrying 43 people has plunged into Lake Victoria in Tanzania during bad weather shortly before it was due to land in the north-west city of Bukoba, police have said, as rescuers search for survivors.
Three people were known to have died in the crash, the state-owned Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation wrote on Twitter.
