Stage and screen actors will take on the roles of Othello and Iago in Shakespeare’s tragedy, first Broadway staging since 1982
Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal are set to star in a new staging of William Shakespeare’s Othello on Broadway.
Washington, whose last appearance on stage was in 2018’s The Iceman Cometh, will play the title role, while Gyllenhaal, last seen in 2019’s Sea Wall/A Life will portray Iago.
