Liberal senator Linda Reynolds has signalled her planned retirement from federal parliament, announcing she will not seek to be a candidate for the next election.
The former defence minister said there was no “perfect time” to quit but that political parties must be “renewed”, hinting at a new career outside parliament. Reynolds said she would keep working to see the Liberal party “diversify”.
