‘Our community is numb’: Littleproud
The National party leader, David Littleproud’s, electorate of Maranoa includes Wieambilla, the location of the fatal shooting last night.
A fire was lit to try and get the police out, so they could see the other police officers.
A member of the public went to investigate and he was shot in cold blood as well, in the back. He did not see that coming.
[The shooters] lit the grass on fire to try and coax her out.
She actually believed that she was either going to be shot or she was going to be burnt alive and she’d come to terms with that was the end of her life.
